Pouilly-sur-Loire

Variety : Chasselas

Average age of wines : 20 to 80 years old

Soils : kimmeridgian marls

Winemaking : pressing at harvest with a pneumatic press, settling and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless vats.

Serving temperature : 10°C/12°C

Originating from clayey-limestone hillsides typical of the Pouilly winery (kimmeridgian marls), this chasselas is characterized by delicate fruits with white flowers and hazelnut. This mineral wine is dry and much lighter than the Pouilly Fumé.

The Pouilly-sur-Loire will marry perfectly with a seafood platter, but also with pike quenelles or moules marinières (with white wine).
